Jamdiver:
Be sure to have it on the beach with a beautiful woman.
Somehow it just tastes better that way :)

Doesn't everyhting eyebrow

Time for a woman's point of view. I prefer Old Sam the coke is an option, the ice is a noshow and the glass the final option.

I could get shot for saying this but I find that Lamb's Palm Breeze is actually the most disgusting drink I've ever had, and my province drinks 1/4 of the world's production of that swill.

For the uninitiated Old Sam is a Demorara (I have no idea how to spell that) It's a fruit cured rhum and is very sweet and smooth. I can do some of the blended Rhums when push come to shove. But I agree with the guy that dislikes the good Captain and Bacardi, they are below wine on my list of rhums I like.

I like Rum too. My favorites are Old Sam (made in Guyana but bottled in Newfoundland) and Captain Morgan Deluxe (only available in Canada). Don't write off the Captain until you try that one. It's very rich. I'm also a big fan of Goslings. These three rums are very similar in taste.
I agree....I'm a rum lover myself and love those you mentioned. Try the Capt. Morgan Deluxe with Ginger Ale and a slice of lime. It tastes like Cream Soda. When I'm out at the clubs I'll even do it with the original Capt Morgan, but the Deluxe is far superior. Luckily, I live 40 miles from the Canadian border, so a trip to the Duty Free is easily done. As for the Old Sam, having been born in NFLD, it holds a special place in my heart, just like Screech (which I don't really drink).
I also like my beer, preferably microbrews, and Tequila. However, when I'm flying, I normally drink Skyy Vodka Bloody Mary's.

Black and Tan.

I do like Apple Shnapps. (sp?)
I also like a shot I had when we were at Pleasure Island.
It was called Liquid Cocaine. It was a mere $18 a shot!!!!!!!!
I've tried one....liked it. Here's the recipe

1/2 oz Bacardi® 151 rum
1/2 oz Goldschlager cinnamon schnapps
1/2 oz Jagermeister herbal liqueur

Pour into glass as listed and shoot.

You want Rum here you go.....

1 part Melon Liquer
1 Part Pineapple juice
1 part Malibu Rum
and about two shots wort of STROH 80 -160 proof rum, layered in on top..

Sip off of the top for as long as you can stand it then, stir...

Overall....Jack and diet coke is my favorite but I can't pass up a really good Dirty Martini either. In fact.....I think I need to make one now.

Macallans 12 on the rocks, 18 neat if I have spare $$

Why spoil The MacAllan of any age (or any single malt for that matter) with ice?
Cripes.

My favorite non-short-chained hydrocarbon beverage is CocaCola. Then water, milk and coffee in that order.

My favorite short-chained hydrocarbon drink is any Islay whisky; preferably Lagavulin or Laphroiag. No water (unless it's cask strength), no ice.
