Have you tried looking here?

Hello All,

I Am Looking At Getting A Bcd And I Am Looking At

Dive Rite...trans Pac Ii, Steel Bp W/ Trans Delux Harness And Rec Wing

Hacylon...bp/w ?

Seaquest...black Diamond Or Raider

Zeagle...ranger Or Ranger Ltd

I Know There Are Two Major Differences In These Two Styles But... What Are The Little Differences That Make One A Better Choice Than Another? I Know Dive Style And Needs Play A Major Role But Being New I Can Only Speculate So I Would Like To Get The Most Ability Out Of My Equip Even If I An Not Sure What I Will Be Doing With Diving In The Future. Basically Which One Would You Buy And Why. Thanks For All The Knowledge I Have And Will Aquire Here.

I far prefer my jacket style mares BCD to a harness type setup.

read through the posts here. THere are a ton of debates that have been done to explain the benefits of each style. Honestly, maybe if you're just getting into diving, rent for now, and try out a few different styles.

The best way is to get some experience before you buy.

I have to agree here with bcsean. Tell us what kind of diving you do.

For me I have a Ranger and want to sell it. I now dive a BPW and am very, very happy with it. Your experiences may vary.

Yeah...did The Rental Thing But The Shops In My Area Don't Carry These Brands/models. Kind Of Have To Rely On This Board For The Inside Tips

Why is the Ranger so much different, based on the wing concept right????

You may also want to go to your LDS and try them out... you may find that you like one way better than the other, or dislike one so much that you won't buy it.
Personally I like the jacket style, but others here will disagree. You will have a lot of comments making good points (or not so good points) on both. Ultimately its your decision... you should choose what you feel most comfortable in as it will be more relaxed...

Do I see a Ranger in my near future? Talk to me overexposed2x!!

I guess this also tells you were I put my vote. I see a purpose for the BP/W but not with me.
