It resembles a back inflate BC. Esentialy its a bag with an inflator hose and dump which bolts or clips to a harness or backplate.

They can be purchaced as a system sych as the DiveRite Transpac or Halcyion MC System, or individualy mixing and matching wings and backplates.

They are required equipment for most types of tenical diveing, and easily used for rec diveing. I personaly dive nothing but a backplate and wing as I find it more comfortable and streamlined than a typical rec bc.

Wing systems generaly cost about the same price as a mid level rec bc.
