I think it's related to the Sea star, but don't now what it is exactly, looking for more of a common name rather than the scientific name.

AND, does any body have an online source for IDing sea life like this? ie. non-fish stuff?

It is a Golden crinoid (Davidaster rubiginosa). A member of the Feather stars, Echinoderms.
