Can't tell from the DUI website....

Anyone know what the difference is between the TLS SE and TLS 350?

Looks like just the telescoping torso, and rear entry vs self entry?

Thanks

From what I see the differences are that the TLS/SE is that the SE is that the zipper is on the back for a rear entery. The TLS 350 is lightweight of Cordura and has the cross chest entry.
I have Three CF200 with the cross chest. They are the most durable and easy to wear and to get into. I have been very happy with the suits. The first suit has over 2000 hrs Underwater use. Commercial diving. I have worn it to stubb pile, use U/W chainsaws and for welding and burning. I have had some repairs to it but for the most part it is still functioning. I have One Perfect back up DUI CF200 that is incase of rips tears or whatever. The Third suit I use interchangably with the first suit..
I have owned Viking and Nokia, Posideon, and DDS (dry diving systems, later changed to KME diving).
The felexablility of the crushed Neopreme is the comfort factor. I hardly know it's on compaired to Nylon shells and the Viking type "trico". There are no restrictions in movement with the crushed neopreme. I wish that they had these type of suits when I started diving in the late '60's. Bill

The TLS is not Cordura.

I'm not *sure*, but reading the DUI website, I think that they're made of the same material. The SE does not have the telescoping torso, it has the less expensive rear zipper, and is only available in stock sizes, unlike the completely customizable TLS 350.

SE stands for 'Shoulder Entry' and is just what people have said: It has a back zip. It is the same suit as the TLS350, but with a back zip. I have this suit and it is a great entry level (read less expensive) alternative. You just need a buddy to zip you up!

Thanks all....

Robert, this also does not have the telescoping torso, crotch strap or inside suspenders either right?

I just bought one today off Ebay for $800 brand new with uncut seals, thought it was a TLS350 in my haste. I just might keep it if it is close to the TLS350. I tried on one of the TLS350's and it fit fantastic. Stock size Large fits like it was made for me.

I actually think I might like the back entry. I wanted to get one of the TLS suits cause they are SO light, and for a backup.

Robert.... how do you keep the suit up during surface intervals without the suspenders, and is that a problem for you?

I had an old DUI Bi-lam that I cut the suspenders out of and glued them into the TLS SE. Without them it sucks to try keeping up for SI's. It doesn't have the telescoping torso because it's not needed, but a large in the SE is a little bigger than a large front entry suit. Mine works well for what I need, but I would prefer a custom fit! Oh well, you get what you pay for :eyebrow:

The rear entry suit is like a two way street.
Pro's
You always need a buddy to dive with (so he can zip you)
You don't need to be a contorsionist (eazy to get into)
Zippers are less expensive (the zipper is one of the most expensive costs of a dry suit)
Con's
If you dive a BP&W the plate abraises the rear zipper. (unless it has a zipper cover)
You have to find your buddy quick if you have to pee (time management)
In warmer weather you can't "crack the zipper" to cool off as easy.

Why, so he can watch it escape from my p-valve?

Ok... now what the heck is the TLS350SE? Is this TLS350 but with a rear entry? Rodales shows a TLS350SE as being an under $1000 drysuit comparing it to others including the CNSe.

Is the TLS350SE $700 less because it is a rear entry of the TLS350???

An article from Rodales (sub $1000 drysuits), shows TLS350SE being a sub $1000 drysuit. Are they just refering to the TLS SE drysuit? Or a TLS350SE that sells for much less due to SHOULDER ENTRY? I would like to know if there is a TLS350Se, as it would have suspenders, telescoping torso, and shoulder entry.
