Well for daytime dives I like all my instruments on the left, but on night dives I prefer to use my left hand for my light so I move the computer to the right.

Both computer and bottom timer are on the right (because of the inflator hose issue..)

both. have my primary computer on my right and my back up on my left. both are suunto and have not have a prob with either

ba_hiker:
Left, twisted a bit to the inside.

I find that I can hold my inflator up and see the computer at the same time. Its right in my face in fact. That leave my right hand free to hold the anchor line, line to smb or what ever with my right hand.

BTW I use a suunto computer and never have problems with it this way.

agreed.

Both computer and bottom timer backup are on my right turned toward the inside of the arm. My compass is on my left.

Loneranger:
I am not following that one. I use my left hand to work the power inflater because myright hand is usually carrying the float ball or something. Not sure it really matters, just what works for your situation.

I agree....wearing it on the inside of your left hand allows you to watch your computer while operating your inflator, while carrying your dive flag, holding an ascent line in a ripping current etc in your right hand.
But, whatever works for you. Just make sure your buddy knows how your rig is set up.

GUE will tell you right (for bottom timer anyway) so you can shine your light on it while operating a scooter.

I wear my computer (Tec2G) on the right arm and slate on the right. Compass on the left. (left-handed)

Aladin SMART Pro on the left wrist, turned inward (this is so I can read it while holding on a line in a current, etc, and also so if I do happen to **** the outside of my arm against a wreck or something, only the strap gets it) and back up D6 on the right like a normal wristwatch.

I wear mine and recommend to wear it on the left hand.
1) you do not need to lift the deflator above you head to vent. Shoulder height or eye level is enough. So you can ascent and monitor the computer.
2) If you assiting a buddy to the surface like in a controled buoyant lift you can hold on to him and look at your computer at the same time.
3) I carry things like torches, reel, lines, slates, on my right.
4) If I'm ascenting or descenting holding onto a less experienced buddy we make contact with our right hands.
