What to buy?

I'm planning on entering the world of more advanced diving. This Spring I plan to take a tri-mix course. I have aquired alot of Dive-Rite gear and have been very happy with all of it. I'm planning on purchasing two new regs so I thought I'd stick with a brand I know and like. I'm considering either the new Hurricane RG-3500 or its predecessor the RG-3000. If anyone has any experience with either of these two regs or advice on an alternate choice please let me know.

If it helps I will be using them in relatively warm water, in overhead conditions, and I want to be very comfortable if I decide to take them to deeper wrecks.

I've got two RG-3000's that I use for stage and deco bottles. They are fine regs, though I hate the POS mouthpieces that DiveRite uses. I swapped them immediately for Atomic's far superior mouthpiece.

Hmmm...I kind of like the DiveRite mouth pieces. I hate large,spongy mouthpieces because I've seen it impair placement in the mouth,which can be a problem during an air share emergency.

Just try a few. Mouth pieces are relatively cheap. Try a model you like and settle on it. Comfort is a subjective thing.

Two tough choices! Either route you go, you will not be making a mistake.
IMO if you want overall Performance you can't beat the breathe-ability of the Hurricane. If you are on more of a budget than go with the RG3000 w/Environmental Kit (even though diving in warmer water the Environmental Kit will boost the IP pressure the deeper you go which will improve breath-ability). Both regs will assure good hose routing and great reliability. Feel free to call me so we can discuss it further and we will hook you up either way you go.

I've pretty much decided to go with the Hurricanes. I almost sold myself on the JETSTREAM as a third option, but I can't justify the $$$. I think I finally made my decision last night, I will probably be ready to buy in the next day or two.

I found a place that will go $395 which is quite a bit below MAP. Let me know if you can beat 'em!

I've heard that Dive Rite has some new regs in the works, if you can wait a little while.
