There's been alot of discussion on this question in the past but some of it seems dated and things change fast in the world of electronics, so---Last year, I bought the A620 with the WP-DC90 housing to move up to digital. To facilitate handling and future accessories, I also purchased the Ultralight Systems tray, handle and focusing light bracket. Now I'd like to add a strobe.
People seem to think that the Inon line is a great way to go, particularly if future camera upgrades are anticipated. I had warmed up to the idea of taking the plunge for a D180 until I found they had been replaced by the D2000 for higher price.
Since I'm primarily a vacation diver now and the fiber optic attachment for the DC90 doesn't sound great, I'm wondering if I should take a baby step and go for the Sea Life SL960. Is this a bad idea? Would the arm fit my tray, even if I extended it to a double? Would the fiber optic cable attach securely?
Is there a better idea? I see some pretty experienced A620 shooters like jamdiver. Also some others with some experience like "string". What have you guys got hanging next your Canon?
It may be good to share that I intend to be completely retired before the year is out. After that, I hope to shift my diving from low gear to at least 3rd! (Now, I think I know what you're going to tell me!).
Anyway, any advice would be appreciated!!!!
