I recently purchased a DUI TLS350. Based on the shoe size information I provided, large turbo soles were put on the suit. I tried the turbo soles on with the standard socks that I wear (one layer of moisture wicking socsk, two layers of 200 weight fleece socks). It seemed that the large turbo soles were entirely too big. I also tried them with the DUI thinsulate booties. A lot of the room was taken up but it seemd that fin keepers were still required to take up a lot of the excess material. And, the sole was still about an inch to an inch and a half too long.

I usually wear size 9 1/2 or size 10 shoes depending on the brand and style of shoe. As I mentioned, I normally wear three layers of close fitting socks. With this in mind, do any of you have a suggestion on the size of turbo sole I should have installed?

Note: this post is in the DIR forum as opposed to the exposure suit forum on purpose.

I have Large Turbo Sole on my suit and they are just fine. (I wear a 10 - 10.5 shoe) I usually just wear a single pair of socks with XL Scubapro Jet fins. I've never had any issues with the turbo soles feeling loose unless I have allot of air in my feet while diving. That sometimes occurs while I'm making my ascent, but the more that I dive with the suit the less it becomes an issue.

You also have to realize that while on the dive the turbo soles will press against your feet with the added pressure, which creates a nice snug fit. :)

Hey T, I got mine a size smaller than the charts recommended. I also had some of the extra material removed form the foot pocket because even with the smaller size sloe there was still too much room in there. Trying to fill up the space with extra socks and stuff could make your feet feel (or be) floaty... so avoid that.

I had mine altered here:

You can't beat a snug fitting foot pocket, it makes a world of difference IMO.

Relevant info:
I was swapping out Rockboots for the turbo soles.
My normal shoe size is 8 or 8.5, my foot length is 9.5" :eyebrow:
DUI recommended the ML (10.5" in) size.

The turbo soles were 1 inch too large and this affected my trim (Feet were too buoyant, now head heavy). I sent the CLX-450 back today for a retro fit (no cost) to the M (10"). My best guess is to measure your foot length and add 0.5" for insulation. DUI focuses on warmth not trim.:shakehead
