What proportion of scuba divers can equalize ears "no hands"?

It's been said before, for hands-free equalization, it really helps to do a good freediving course. Aussie freediver Adam Stern has a useful explanation in text and video here: How To Equalise With No Hands | Adam Free Diver . It's one of these things that seems very difficult until it isn't. Once I got the knack, I started doing it constantly and automatically, which tends to be much easier on your ears especially on repeat dives. Then again, the loss of some ml of air is not an issue in Scuba (unlike in freediving), so I am equally happy to Frenzel away on the few occasions the pressure builds up quickly.
