I know very little about internet and websites and all, but I would think that to keep something like this wonderful board alive and well on the internet would require funding, yet I see no advertisers or requests for dues or the like. At the risk exposing my ignorance, what does keep this alive?

I've wondered this also. Best as I can determine we just have a board owner who an absolutely wonderful person and can afford to keep this thing going out of his own pocket.

I hope that, should this ever change, he will allow us to contribute rather than considering closing the board.

Scuba Board is owned and operated by King Neptune and Ladydiver. They have done their best to keep the Scuba Board forum commercial free. As you've guessed, it's not cheap to run a website and there may come a day when it's necessary to accept commercial advertising but if/when that happens, you can bet it will be tastfully done.

The home website, Scuba Source Network, has some great stuff on it. So if you haven't been there, check it out.

King Neptune and Lady Dive,

THANK YOU so much. You guys are amazing to do this good thing for so many people. I wonder how many injuries and even lives have been saved because of the useful and in many cases safety information gathered here.

Wow

Wow

I completely agree with this... thank you.

This site is very useful esp for novice divers like me who only have the forums to turn to in my bid to increase knowledge and understanding abt diving.

Of course, sometimes we need to fliter info being fed but i guess ultimately, its the self-less ppl here who are willing to contribute and share their knowledge on diving that's keeping this board blazing......

Cheers to all !!!
