Hmmm, so many favorites, hard to pick... For mostly instrumental music, it's hard to beat the Trans Siberian Orchestra (have tickets to see them in a few weeks) or Mannhiem Steamroller.

For the more upbeat tunes, Rockin around the Christmas tree has to take the lead.

For the whimsical side, "My favorite things" and "The Marvelous Toy."

The two songs that really take me back to my childhood (not that I ever really left) are "Snoopy's Christmas" and "I'm gettin' nuttin' for Christmas."

And last, but certainly not least, how can Christmas be Christmas without at least one rendition of "Silent Night."

How can Christmas be complete without Bing singing "White Christmas", Nat King Cole singing "The Christmas Song", or Connie Francis' "I'll Be Home For Christmas".

My favorite would probably have to be "Silent Night," because I've been to the village in Austria where the original song was written. The original church is gone now (burned), but I've been to its replacement church.

I also love anything by Mannheim Steamroller, but especially "Greensleeves." The first time I heard it, it made me cry, it was so beautiful.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra's version of "Deck The Halls" is also fantastic.

Merry Christmas everyone!

"Born unto us"

Don't anyone say "Blue Christmas" by Elvis!

O' Holy Night sung by John Berry is one of my favorites.

And lets not forget...

Blue Christmas by Elvis Presley

Oooppppsssss, sowwy Dee... hehehehe

in church, done a capella. The instruments only get in the way! I'll take the tenor, who's gonna do that killer base line? Don't forget the glue for this song, the altos, and of course, we really really need a soprano that can hit that stellarly high note in the last "A-men" phrase!

The Irish Tenors

Especially Adeste Fideles.

On the humor side "The Chipmunk song" and the Beach Boys singing Little St Nick.
