I've read conflicting reports regarding the health of Turtle Reef over the past 6 months. I dove it last April and don't recall the destruction posted elsewhere on the Internet. Has "Dolphin Discovery" really done that much damage in such a short period of time? Or is it part hype? Please do not misunderstand my inquiry. I care very much about the status of our reefs. My question is more directed towards our diving plans for February. Can anyone give a current status report? Thanks!

I've dove it in September and November 2011 and it seems as good as it was from previous years.I saw no signs or destruction .

Thanks for the reply. We usually stay on the east end, but like to come over to the west side on a day which is light with cruise ship traffic. Does Matabuca still offer a buffet one day a week? That was killer!

Macabuca is the bar. I see on Cayman good taste the BBQ is listed for monday.
Couldn't make it last time down but I'm hoping next time.

I dove the reef last April as well, I loved it just as much as I did 12 years before. Those reports have been out since before last April. I think it's just Hype to trash the dolphin operation. I think the Turtle Reef is my favorite dive on island, Easy, care free, cheap, Go in late afternoon when eveything is lite up by the sun........ then off gas at macabuca. yum. Next time I think I'll do the long swim to hepp's Pipeline

Thanks for your report! I'm with you on the swim. It's in our plans too! I'd be seriously ticked if I was Ollen as well as Divetech for the false dive reports. Wow...
