What is the diffference between the Apeks TX-50 and the Apeks TX-100 Second stage?
Inlet tube in specific.
Is it just the finish, or is there a difference in material?

Just the cover plate is different.
Internals on all (non octo) Apeks 2nd stages are the same.
40's have a metal heat exchanger sleeve on the outside of the inlet side..on the 20's it is a plastic sleeve.
50's, (100's and 200's) have the heat exchanger and adjustment knob.

oh, the 100 cost more. :)

They are interchangeable but not identical. I am looking at the internal of 2 tx-100's, 5 TX-50's, and three tech50-d's right now, and I can tell them apart easily.

What I don't know is if the tx-100's different appearance is the result of different materials or not. (And Apek's website isn't saying either.) And it has been way too long since I did the Apeks Tech course to remember this.

The t50d's (zeagle) had a nipple on the shuttle that was eliminated in the later models.
I think that some of the 100's and 200's have a satin chrome finish on the adjustment knob.
Early t50d's and T series had finer knurling on the knob.
