First off, not sure if this is the correct area to post this question, if not let me know and I will just move my post there. Thanks.

Since my first dive, I have just been fascinated with the beauty that is underwater, and I am trying to get into underwater photography. I have a Canon Reble XTi, that I purchased a bit back for land photos, and I want to start getting it underwater to take photos down below. Somewhere in the near future I do plan on taking an underwater photography course to gain some knowledge, but I figure I can get some knowledge before hand.

Can I use the Rebel XTi underwater (I understand that I will need to use a housing)? I thought I read somewhere here that you use different lens' underwater, is this true or my misread? What are the no **** this is what you need items?

Thanks for your help and time.

XSi is a great camera for underwater. If you scroll down in this forum you will find more threads about this very thing and they should be good starting places for you.

Also check out the Pink Link in my signature, which takes you to the Sticky at the top of the UW Photo forum, as it has all sorts of details on getting starting with dslr including a list of lenses.
