What if someone got Covid tested positive during liveaboard?

Yes yes insurance is the way to go. But maybe because I am old, there's more than money at stake. I might not get there again. Money can't compensate for that intangible
 
If you are not deathly ill I doubt they are going to evacuate you off a lob where you are isolating in a cabin. If you mean the fancy dive trip trip insurance and medical costs I think they do have covid coverage but I haven't looked in depth. But even if the boat offloads you somewhere I think you are stuck in isolation unless you need unavailable mefical care. Check and let us know. It's on their website.
 
Is DAN enough
If bt "DAN" you mean dive accident insurance. No. Covid is not a dive accident. You need travel insurance, which DAN also sells separately from dive-accident insurance.
 
In the current environment, and particularly over the next few months, one must really approach international travel with a belt and suspenders risk management philosophy vis a vis things potentially going wrong.
