2 masks, each about $80, during surface swims
1 fin. the set cost $150 + $100 for spring straps, so I guess the fin was worth $125
Camera flash diffuser, $25

Camera while diving at Stonington, CT. $320

Lost a snorkle at local quarry but found a different one on SAME DIVE!

I also lost a weight belt and 12 lbs weight upon entry when diving U352 off of Beaufort NC about 12 years ago.

Lost a pointer in Philippine,
it has sentimental value, because it's made by my friends.

Otherwise, been lucky so far.
Found weight belt with belt, gave it to the operator.

A dive tank, 5 fins, four weight belts, four masks and snorkels, mobile phone, wallet (credit cards, money , cert card), hand held GPS, clothes.....the list goes on - approx USD2,500... in a boat capsize after completing a dive Managed to save my four bcds and reg sets with Gecko computers though - I must have looked like a Christmas tree as I had three reg sets hanging off my bcd!!!
Others whose gear was integrated weight bcds with attached tanks, the gear went straight to the bottom! Lesson learnt - remove the integrated weights during transit and inflate the bcd.
Insurance company (Harlocks) came good with the claim within a month - all except the documents in the wallet!

Regards,

vmf

Lost my slate a couple of months ago diving off Cozumel. I hated it so bad because it was held on by a reeeeeeal nice dorkie RETRACTOR. Almost lost my prescription mask but the DM found it when we hit bottom. He got a fat tip for that one. You bet.
