What happened to this thread?
............... ID Required onboard vessels in US waters?

It was here a few minutes ago and not is says it's not a valid thread or that we don't have permission to read it. I couldn't find it with a search either.

Presumably deleted due to my comments.

It's under review - no decision has yet been taken.

Unless there was a new, totally off-the-wall, post, the thread had seemed reasonable, generally give-and-take, with information on the rule permitting boarding. Need to up everyone's meds a notch today, people a bit hyper-sensitive.

why????? There wasn't anything "bad" in it.

It was simply about the US Coast Guard boarding a boat and then link references to the laws/rules in regards to why they can do that?

I can understand removing if it somehow violated the "family" nature of this board, but 99.9% of the people here abide by that.

There wasn't anything in this post "that I read" that warranted this "Censorship" by the board. It was a valid discussion.

I am not the one who pulled it and I am not getting into the reasons here. There was a question - 'What happened?' - I answered it.

Nice goin' String :D
But seriously I had no problem with your updated comment, just your original descriptive term.

I just got an email that beginning June 1, (dive) boats going from CA to Mexico, all passengers are required to have a passport, State issued Drivers license/ID are useless. Wow this should turn ugly.

Makes sense to me, being as it's San Diego/Long Beach and large Naval stations, just seems, how can I put it....3 1/2 yrs. late. I wonder about land border crossings?

I find it humurous that (post edit) this thread is under review, but the sexual assault thread is going off....

more like a joke than humurous.

Jeez. People should be "so sensitive" about what is said.....

On that note, I'm leaving to meet some people to get some "Mexican" food, or is that considered "here" a bad use to describe the food from the country of Mexico?

Land border will also require positive ID, a limited number of forms acceptable, though I don't recall when that goes into effect. It was in the papers over the last two weeks sometime.

Kim -- I wasn't poking at you, I hope you know. Just a couple of the threads today seemed a bit odd, a lot of passion on all sides. Spring fever.
