My main concern is really keeping the u/w forum from being overloaded with subforums but also separating major topics (such as the Oly forum which is very busy). Again, this isn't about pitting one manufacturer against another or giving one "more exposure", it is about catering to volume and giving the most popular topics their own forums, not every possible topic.
I'm not familiar with the age of the Nikon subforum... was it relatively new? If so it is probably something we can add back in the near future.

Yep, TA, it was pretty new. Ask Dee, she was kind enuf to set it up for us. I cruised it regularly since all my UW photo gear is Nikonos. Certainly don't can the Oly or Canon subs, but please consider giving Nikon another shot.
I note that Oly, Canon, and Nikon questions get posted in the main UW photo forum. I know it is a PITB but if you move some of those posts to the sub, I think users will get the hint and figure it out.
I tend to like organized forums. I did not think the subs were cluttering it up at all. Your call, JMO.
