What Happened to the "DIR Divers" sub-forum?

Thanks for your post. I followed your instructions and I can now see the "DIR" sub-forum. Maybe the server issue re-set my permissions as well.
Problem solved, but why is special permission needed to see the thread?

Sounds like the DIR forum is set to practitioners only.

The DIR Practitioners sub-forum that required moderated access is gone and all the posts were merged into the DIR forum awhile back.
I thought the DIR forum was supposed to be readable by all, but opt-in to post -- without requiring moderation to opt-in.
Sounds like its opt-in to read and write? Anyway, you don't need approval to opt-in.

so, to be clear, i think the intent was to make it readable by default...
i don't think i have the access to fix it, and definitely don't have the knowledge to fix it right now...
and i don't have the time to investigate right this second, but if someone wants to poke howarde or one of the actual site-admins they're the ones most likely to be able to fix...
i'd like to stick with opening it up to opt-in to post since that was the plan and there was a ton of flyby off-topic posting that was irritating everyone...

Ok... So.
About 3 days ago, I changed the registered usergroup for some anti-spam measures... So before then, everyone could read the forum and only DIR members could post. So it's only been 3 days that people couldn't see the forum... Sorry.
Now everything is back to how it was. Registered users can read it, but only DIR Divers can post.
