What happened to AUL?

I went to their website this morning and it says SOLD Dec. 2003.

Anyone have any idea what happened or who bought them?

Looks like both aulinc.com and aul-inc.com have been hacked - there's a brewery logo on both. It was up 2 or 3 days ago.

Actually it was fine this morning I have been going back and forth on email today with Arnold Jackson from AUL about another lawsuit for patent infringment brought by another scuba equipment manufacturer against a bunch of others including AUL. I have no affiliation with AUL I have just heard that their products were good quality and reasonably priced so when I saw the site for sale today I send an email to the address that was linked off of the front page. I am going to see if it is ok with him to post the info he has sent me today.

Hmm would that be Sartek by any chance? They recently obtained a patent for underwater HID lighting according to their website.

It is pretty sad to see a company get a patent in the past year or 2 and sue other manufacturers over it when the lights have been around for at least 6-8 years although they obviously were not that popular then. I have nothing against what I consider a legit patent, such as if Sartek actually came up with the light in 92 and patented it, but for them to be out for years and then go for the patent, that is pretty sad.
