Some people are underwater tourists.... but they don't see much!
Some people are underwater technicians....so they see a lot of their dials.
Some people are underwater socialites.....so they only see their buddy.

OK, OK, maybe a little harsh....but when YOU are diving what are you primarily doing? Why are you down there to start with? What's the point?

I guess for everyone it's probably a little different as well as being a balance between various factors, so where do YOU draw the lines? What are you thinking about the most while you are in an environment we can't normally survive in?

I am a underwater gopher, digging around looking for (Prizes) stuff and really couldn't care less about anything else.

I am an underwater aye-aye.

Actually, to be serious, I am an underwater perfectionist. I love seeing neat things but what I consciously focus on is what I'm doing and how I can be doing it better.

I'm a underwater fish finder. beep beep beep

I am looking for fresh Sushi while not diving with my kid:).
Seriously, I love to dive with my daughter, seeing her eyes lighted up with all the cool things she found underwater. Can't wait to get my boy down there too.

It depends what I feel like doing that day, there is no more point than there is for going on a hike, or a walk in the woods. If its a nice day I head underwater.

Sometimes I go for a swim--underwater hike
Sometimes I lay in the sand and watch or take pics of fish on the reef edge
Sometimes I spear fish and take them home and eat them
Sometimes I prowl for lobster in the nooks and crannies
Sometimes I swim around where ballast stone has been reported and see if I can find it
Sometimes I scooter around like I'm on an underwater mountain bike
Sometimes I take underwater video

I am a underwater multipersonality--I do lotsa things down there, look at all the cool fishies, corals, and wrecks, occassionaly try to spear some of the legal fishies, watch my gauges (no good running out of fresh O2 at the inapporiate time). I also watch my buddy, I haven't lost a dive buddy yet, yet being the key word :eyebrow: . I also try and work on my skills, so to be a better diver. And most importantly I try to relax and enjoy myself underwater.
