We saw this last week at Devil's Grotto (15 second video). The mounts of sand are about 1 foot high. Does anyone know what makes them?

No, but if you find out please come back and tell us, because I'd like to know, too. Tried various Googling approaches and couldn't turn it up.

@FindingMenno - you work in Grand Cayman, right? Do you know what that is?
 
Funny. I was just today watching one of these with sand spewing from it.

Thanks to some help from a Facebook fish ID group, we now think it is a Lugworm.

Everyone else's video and pictures show the sand being more poop-shaped, but I suppose that could be a property of the sand.
