$230 - That's a pretty tight budget. ScubaToys.com currently has a few models on sale for $249 and up. Diversdirect.com has one model at $199, and the rest are over $300.

With such a tight budget, you need to talk directly to someone who can quiz you about your needs and find a match. I'd be careful of eBay and Leisurepro. I'm not saying not to buy there, just make sure you know what your getting.

Florida has thousands of dive shops. I suggest you start making the rounds and see what your local shops can do. Find someone who is willing to honestly advise you, rather than just trying to make a sale. On such a tight budget, you'll need to make sure that you are getting something that is suitable.

Seaquest Latitude. LP has them for $225 or so.

Another option is to find a good used BC. Like most quality dive gear, it's darn near impossible for the average diver to actually wear out a BC. There are lots of people who buy all new gear, get certified and never dive again or who just want something different. If you look around a little you can find really great deals on barely used gear. IMO your much better off spending your $230 on a high quality, used BC than a new but low quality one. Plus, you can sell it later for darn near what you have in it if you get a good deal.
