Our trip starts on the April 25th and we have read so much and are so excited- Bonaire has been on my bucket list for way to long. It will only shore diving and we are staying at Sand Dollar. Easy of entry would be nice for some of the older divers. So what are your top dive spots and why? Thanks Bill

My favorite dive is Karpata, but it's not an easy entry.
For ease of entry and things to see I would pick Something Special, Winsock, Bachelors Beach, Cliff (if the waves are small), and even Oil Slick because you can always take the ladder if you don't like the giant stride.

The next dive. The one after that. The one after that. The one after that. The next thee after that are tied for fifth.

:D

Staying at Sand Dollar is awesome for you. The beach entry is SOOOOOOOOOO easy!! Nice comfy sandy beach to walk right in, and the reef there is great. Make sure to go both ways and you'll never get bored of that reef.

Easy to get in/out:

South
Tori's Reef
Angel City
White Slave
Invisibles
Atlantis

North
Oil Slick (the leap is a must do!)
1000 Steps - easy entry & exit, there are 86 stairs going down and 1000 going up!
Jeff Davis (easily my favorite dives last trip)

Have fun!!

Right out your front door is my favorite dive. Enter at Bari Reef and float the current down to the dock at Eden Beach for easy out.

I really enjoy this dive and I'm one of the older folks. It is very easy and lots of great critters.\

the next one with a turtle or a frog fish. or a seahorse.

i dive to see the sealife. which is unpredictable.

many people dive to see wrecks or topology which is predictable. decide which type of diver you are.

p.s. we dove the same site 13 times on our last trip. if we had more time, we would have done many more dives on it...

A site that was more recently marked down on the south side is the Garden. It is next to Margate Bay I believe. Regardless it is south of the kitesurfers. Super easy entry at a little beach by the tree to the right as you pull in. Zillions of fans and soft corals on the terrace and a really nice dive with slightly larger animals on the drop off due to a little more current. But like everyone says you never know what the critters are going to do so your best bet is to just keep getting wet.

I don't know if there is a favorite site... We love and have a great time at all the spots... Don't miss the salt pier at night.... Have fun... And enjoy Bonaire for what it is..
