I notice, for example, that Phuket has zillions of divers, but a very small TDI presence. In what locations does TDI training have the strongest presence? Where could I go to take a course where there are lots of other people taking TDI courses?
What are the busiest TDI shops/instructors? Who is teaching the most courses?

It's an interesting question to which I don't know the answer (don't you love it when someone starts a reply like that), but TDI is a technical training agency, and it is often said that in tech training the choice of instructor should come first, with consideration of what agency or agencies that instructor is affiliated with as a secondary consideration. Fortunately, lots of tech instructors are affiliated with TDI, so if you choose a well-known instructor, there's a good chance the instructor offers their course through TDI.
I'll add that, if Phuket deserves what I have heard is a reputation as a certification-mill kind of place, that is not the kind of atmosphere one would want for tech training. Maybe the concept of training en masse works okay for basic OW training, but tech training requires a more tailored fit between individual instructor and student.
I'd say TDI has the highest concentration of instructors in Florida and Mexico. Maybe Egypt. . .
I'm a TDI instructor (Course Director) at a busy shop in Florida. We do a fair amount of TDI classes. We're coastal so it's ocean stuff (mostly).
