When people do this - say email me rather than just providing the info in the right place on the board - it's not actually participating in the forum. And much less convenient for people who might be interested. If everyone did this the board would contain nothing useful.

Here in Indonesia only 45% of the population is inoculated twice. Mostly with Sinovac, which seems to offer not much (if any) protection against Omicron. For you personally it might be true it would cause only a mild flu, but even that can ruin your dive trip. Nobody knows what Omicron will bring Indonesia the coming months. 67% of the adult men in Indonesia smoke, and TBC still kills 200 people each day here in Indonesia. But, now everybody wants to believe "oh, it is just a little flu" . Well, it is not. And we do not have much reason to assume that a new variant will not pop again. I mention these facts because it might be smart to take the into consideration in your planning for this year.
We don’t have enough data, yet, in Indonesia about Omicron. Hopefully in a couple more months we’ll see whether it’ll be better or worse than Delta.

In many countries that Omicron waves passing through starting from South Africa to Europe & America, indicate that Omicron is more contagious, but less severe (lower death rate, hospitalization, etc.). I don’t see its impact in Indonesia would be outside the norm of what happened in any other developing countries.

I’m still hopeful that by April / May the lesser impact of Omicron in other countries would also happen in Indonesia.

Also, Dr. Campbell says in the video, below, that “The worst is absolutely behind us.”

In Indonesia we do not have any protection from vaccination, as far as we know now. And we did not go through the B variant as South Africa did. Comorbidity in Indonesia might be completely different because of the high numbers of smokers and people with TB.

Campbell is not a trained scientist in this field at all. His specialism and PhD is for training nurses. He spread already much nonsense. Although he seems to be a nice guy.
Another nice, educated and trained in this field : Episode 85: Smart Testing in the Omicron Surge

High numbers of smokers are seen in many countries, not just in Indonesia.

“Indonesia has recorded 254 Omicron cases since mid-December, the majority of which displayed mild symptoms or were asymptomatic, according to Health Ministry reports.”

Deltacron and Omicron sound like Michael Bay movies.
