Here in Norway its a hell of a lot more expensive than beef. In the 50, 60 and 70s it was real cheap though.I'm curious Tigerman, what is the advantage of whale meat? Is it cheaper then beef-tastier? I suspect that in Japan it might be cheaper then good beef-after all, they have very little land from which to run a ranch. I also think that if tomorrow someone showed me proof that cows were as smart as humans, had very human like family bonds and showed emotion I would still have a hard time switching to goat. Because of this, I do sympathize or at least acknowledge that whaling is a bit of a complicated issue.
If the Aussie Navy would grow a pair and not allow the Japanese to break international laws in their waters this would not be that big of an issue. That won't happen anytime soon.
