There is a great new festival to be held in Isla Mujeres, Mexico (beautiful little island 15 minutes from Cancun). It's called the "Whale Shark Festival," and the dates are July 15 - July 19, 2009. This is the first year of the festival that I know of. I'm not allowed to post URL's, so simply Google "Whale Shark Festival to get the scoop!
If you've never swum with the Whale Sharks (largest fish on Earth!) you're missing an incredibly
surreal experience! These huge, harmless and gorgeous creatures migrate around the world, and are
only around the Cancun area in the summer.
