Hi bought a wet suit on e-bay,(sorry LDS owners) The thing doesn't fit (serves me right) Anyway when it came it it looks wrinkled really wrinkled. It isn't old just wrinkled. Maybe ill packaging. IS their something I can do to smooth it out. I want to bring it to my LDS and get the most for it.

Having a "Happy or a refund" guarantee is always a good thing to look for from a seller.
Those wrinkles are pretty much there to stay, they're probably caused from improper storage.
Chances are down the road you'll gain some weight & the suit will fit better.
Here are some recipes to help out: http://www.angelfire.com/ca/divers3/food.html

I suggest you start off with the "Chocolate Amaretto Cheesecake". Youll fill out just looking at it.

Bob3 once bubbled...

Sorry I should be been more specific. I need it about two sizes BIGGER. Chocolate is the last thing I need

Geez, just hearing about that cheesecake & the suit is already 2 sizes too small. Has to be a new record.

If you're going to stick it in a wash machine, take it to the laundromat & use a horizontal drum variety. A regular agitator may attempt to disassemble the suit.

The wrinkles are caused by the bubbles in the neoprene getting crushed, washing probably won't make much of a difference, wrinkle wise at least.
It's always a good idea to wash a used wetsuit, for obvious reasons.

For your size problem, you might try calling a shop that makes custom suits and asking if they do alterations. My girlfriend had EXCELLENT results getting a perfect fit out of a suit that was slightly too large. You'd need to take the suit down in person, naturally, so look locally. Of course, probably not much can be done if it's really two sizes too small.

For the record, a wetsuit is something I'd never, never buy online. Fit is everything! You definitely want to try suits on; ideally, you'll try lots of sizes in lots of suits. Hopefully you can throw that guy right back on eBay...

We have a local manufacturer "O'Dare" in Bray that do a made-to-measure for about the same price as you buy off the shelf.

1) Get Ankle & Wrist Zips
2) Get a Pee Zip (guys)
3) If you don't have ankle & wrist zips, put a plastic bag over your hand/foot and then put in into the arm/leg. Slides in easier than a greased thing in a greased hole. You can take the suit off with a plastic bag too. Just tuck it under the cuff & peel the arm/leg orr inside out.

Something else to consider concerning the wrinkles. As someone already mentioned, these are probably caused by improper storage by the previous owner. This occurs when the neoprene is folded and compressed (in a drawer for example). The air bubbles at the folds are crushed and the wrinkle/seam is usually permanent. This also causes a reduction in thermal insulation. If a wetsuit is riddled with these wrinkles, the overall thermal protection of the suit will be comprimised, especially if the suit has a poor fit to begin with. Personally, I would advise dumping the suit, and go ahead and get a new one. Good luck!

Yes I'm in the process of getting rid of it. As far as the wrinkles I took another look. Not as bad as I thought but still have more than I like
