just have a question I just got my two piece farmer john and I am getting ready to hang it on the closeline in the basement. I dont have any hangers yet I think I am getting them for XMAS so I didnt want to buy any yet. Is it ok until then to just hang them on regular hangers??

I bought a set of hangers from Scubatoys...BC Hanger, Wetsuit Hanger, and Hanger for Regulator...boots....gloves and whatever else. Best purchase I have made....I hang them out in the garage to dry and then just carry them inside on the hangers to store them. They are super strong and better then the thick plastic regular hangers I used to use and best of all were CHEAP...or should I say inexpensive.

Edit: My idea was already mentioned.

Underwater Kinetics hangers are inexpensive and they last a long time. Quick fix tape a couple of plastic or wooden hangers together. do not hang your suit in a hot environment. Do not store your suit in a low heat environment such as a laundry room. your suit will last longer if you keep it in a cool dark place.

Just use 2 to 4 plastic hangers together they dont even have to be taped. But in the long run you cant go wrong with the heavy wetsuit hangers.

I do have a question. Can someone with an actual wetsuit hanger give us a ballpark estimate on how thick they are? I'm currently using the "2 or 3 plastic hanger together" method. I just went to crazyscuba.com (they're having their moving sale, remember, I got a great deal on a new 4/3 mm for Cozumel) and looked at an actual wetsuit hanger. From the picture, it doesn't seem all that thick, and I'm doing the job fine with 2 or 3 plastic hangers from Walmart.

I have one that is aprox. 1.1 inch wide that I got at my LDS, and another that's over 2 inches wide that I got at scubatoys.com.

The scubatoys one is alot more rounded as well, whereas the one I got my LDS is basically a heavy duty very wide plastic hanger like you'd find at walmart (and it appears to be very similar to the one I see at crazyscuba).
