If a wetsuit is a little on the big size for somebody would that tend to make someone more or less boyant than if they had a suit that was more snuggly fit?

Loose fit will effect warmth more than bouyancy. Probably would not effect bouyancy much other than trapped air moving around.

The looseness will be filled by water which is neutral so fit has no effect on buoyancy. The exception might be a VERY tight fit that may very slightly compress the material under it's own tension and the effect would be slight an of no real significance in the field.

In terms of warth fit is everything and a loose fit will serve you poorly regardless of how the openings fit.
