I got sick and tired of trying to thread a 67mm wet mount lens onto my housing underwater. So I got a wet mount dome.

Regarding wet mount Dome lenses. When you physically look through your wet mount dome lens do you see wavy distortion, like through a bad windshield, or just the circular distortion one would expect from a wide angle lens?

My new Ikelite dome for their G-10 housing has the circular distortion I expect, but also the bad windshield sort of distortion. Haven't gotten it wet yet and maybe it won't be noticeable underwater. I don't see the bad windshield defects when I look through a wet mount wide angle lens.
