Welcome to the Testing Forum

The Testing Forum was created so you can experiment with ScubaBoard's message formatting features and compose posts before posting in a normal public forum. The Testing Forum is unique because:
  • The normal 24 hour limit to edit your thread is removed.
  • Threads and Posts in Testing don't show in New Post lists
  • Search engines like Google and Bing don't index in the Testing Forum.
Working in the testing forum isn't exactly private but nothing draws attention to your experiments or composition.

Composing Complex Posts
Writing can take time — sometimes days to months, as evidenced by some threads in the ScubaBoard Knowledge Base. Many people will begin in a word processing program and the copy & paste into ScubaBoard's editor. Some formatting will transfer, but not all. You may need more time to modify text and add images — more time than you can dedicate to one session on ScubaBoard.

You can take all the time you want and transfer it to the intended forum when it is ready. There are two options:
  • Copy the contents to a new thread or post
  • Ask the ScubaBoard Staff to move the your thread in Testing to another forum. You can request the move by using the Report button or through a Private Message. Be sure to tell us what forum you want it moved to and if there are any changes to the title.
