I had a dream that my wife was "kidnapped" and I was part of an assult team making land fall on a beach head in a marshy area. My team and I were all waring rebreathers. Right as my head slowly broke the surface of the water I saw an intensive survalance network that captured movement from every angle.

The dream was kind of like an extreamly long adventure starting out in a mid-evil village chasing a shapeshifting witch to a cruise ship where I lost track of my wife and I ended up being locked in the ships hull in the laundromat. I was able to escape when the next load of clean laundry left the laundromat. Then I vowed to return with help and rescue my wife. That's where the assult team comes in...

I had to resurrect this thread cuz I just had dream where I was at someone's house and they had "air fish" swimming around between the chair and table legs. I remember how translucent they were and how silently and silky they "swam" through the air. And just like in real diving, I remember reaching out to try to touch one, and with one tiny flick of the tail, they bolted out of reach.

I also remember white carpet under them (sand metaphor), and the owner was showing me their latest fish which looked like some kind of cross between a small wrasse and a walleye (big like walleye, colorful like wrasse). The others were more Damselfish - like.

I remember saying to myself - I've GOT to get me some of these!

I also dream fairly lucidly to the point that I can realize it's a dream and change things to fit my will. I dreamt I ran out of air while hanging out on a reef/wreck area, then I was like "this is just a dream, I don't need a regulator" and just spat it out and continued to dream dive.

It is so weird to have dreams where you are actually conscious that you are dreaming, and can change things to your will. Very rare, but fun when you do. Happens to me during "flying" dreams sometimes.

Reading about these dreams is more entertaining than watching TV! :D

For years, I had this weird reccurring dream. I was underwater holding my breath, no scuba gear, swimming up, but the surface was nowhere in sight. The thought would cross my mind, "I'm not going to make it." Then I would wake up gasping, coming to, and telling myself, it was only a dream, it was only a dream. Mornings with my wife included, "I had that dream again last night."

Turns out I have mild sleep apnea. The weird reccuring dream was when I stopped breathing throughout the night. Since my sleep study and CPAP, I have not had the dream.

Gee- isn't that interesting. Glad you found a solution to the problem.

Very amusing, but I wonder if you are playing too many video games?
;)

I just had a weird scuba dream... A friend of mine and I were at a scuba park (think Disney underwater). We had just entered the water when there was an "emergency." All of a sudden these canisters popped up and there were tons of pony bottles in them. For some reason, we could all talk to eachother underwater and we decided to grab a pony and head back. This is when my rational brain kicked in because I was stuck to the bottom of the pool like I was under the influence of gravity on the surface. All the other people were swimming off, but i could only drag myself along the bottom. Then I woke up with a jolt and was wide awake.
