Hey all,

Recently did my TDI Helitrox CCR course on an Inspiration - on cloud 9. I had done a few rebreather dives in previous years as I considered the change, and all I can say is should have done it years ago.

Anyways, looking for some feedback on weighting in different scenarios. Obviously, got some good info from the instructor, but it never hurts to ask around.

Did the course in Tulum cenotes, so fresh water, and in my trilam suit with a very thin long underwear. that took about 6lbs.

What do you all find changes going to a heavier underwear, salt water, over to a 7mil wetsuit, etc.?

Just looking to have an educated starting point as I grown into this. I ask all this as my normal weighting has been "dual LP108s and a steel backplate", so never really had to fine tune things.

Thanks!

Have you tried Rsinglers „optimal buoyancy computer“ spreadsheet?
Would make all the second guessing easier

Fresh to salt, based on average salinity: add 2.4% of the total dry weight (you, CCR, tanks, lead, everything). Ballpark +7 lb for a 200 lb person.

I would drop 2.5 lb going from a trilaminant+wicking layer to a 7mm (XL Bare Reactive).
