I'm a Fish!
Should have my Infinity with aluminum backplate (travel reasons) on Friday. Has the side ditchable weight pockets and a pair of trim pockets near the top of the cylinder. Looking for some direction for an initial setup of bag weights. In comparison, this is what I wear normally with my regular BC.

Fresh
Heavy thermals 300wt, DUI drysuit, hood, gloves, 120 steel. 5# over each should blade behind the bladder and 4# each pocket for a total of 18# and I could probably go to 16.
7mil full with hood & gloves, 120 steel, 5# over each shoulder blade and thats it for 10# ttl

Salt
Thin underwear thermals, DUI drysuit, 100 steel, no hood, thin gloves. 5# over each shoulder blade, 2# each side pocket for 14# total have done 12#
3mm shorty, alum 80, 5# over each shoulder blade and that is about it, sometimes 2# each side for 12-14#

Just looking for some insight from halcyon divers. I like my extra weight on my back around the shoulder blades so help me with my trim.

Any help is appreciated. I will be experimenting this weekend but want to start off in the ballpark. Thanks

Oh yeah, I will be using the 40# wing, heavy thermals and drysuit with hood this weekend.

OK, 3 days not hits. I dove today and this is where I ended up:

TLS350 with heavy thermals, hood, gloves, yada-yada

steel 120 and Halcyon Infinity 40# with aluminum plate (approx 1#)

1 4# in each trim pocket on my top tank strap, 1 4# in each ditchable side pocket for a grand total of 16#

No problem but I think I can lose another 2. My trim was excellent, OK, it was very good.

Love the unit, just not as comfortable as the Black Diamond when I a not in the water.

I used a combination of my drysuit and the Halcyon for buoyancy.

The thing that youll really appreciate the difference between the black diamond and the infinity in the water(or just about any other bp/w setup) --- is the feeling of not having all that "stuff" in front.. I just feel like im floating with my bp/w setup.. I just picked up a infinity system also-- looking forward to my first dive with it.. Really love the ability to have a single strap (hog style) setup--- yet also able to adjust each and every time i put the unit on or switch exposure suit.... Cake and eat it too.. Did you get the removable sta weight in your unit? ... Congrats on your new rig.. :)

I started out looking for a travel bc and ended up getting the SS Halcyon infinity, which is still a bit lighter than my old BC. I did leave the weighted STA home but traveled with the SS plate and found the whole setup wonderful. I just subtracted the weight of the plate from what I would normally have dove and that seemed to suit me just fine.
