Hi folks,

I'm only after a ball-park figure here - I know there are a large number of variables, but still....

Roughly, how much would you say your typical Faber 12 is in negative buoyancy equivalent of lead. As in, by adding a second tank and manifold to otherwise identical equipment setup, you should expect to reduce lead by x kg. This is just for rough estimates so as to simplify a buoyancy check.

Thanks

Dave

I use 12 or 13 kg with a single 15 or 12 and maybe 6kg with a euro twinset, in the sea. Euros are heavier than Fabers. They are way more fashionable for twinsets. Twinsets are fairly good value second hand so long as they are in test, or maybe they are excessively expensive new

I dropped about 8lbs ≈ 4 kg going from single to double HP100 (12.9L Fabers), keeping everything else the same. Though bear in mind you'll also have double the weight differential between full and empty.

3kg approximately for 200bar doubles vs single.
It was 3kg-4kg for me, 232bar 12l steel single vs double, I think.
