For those of you who work during the day in the Houston area, a local dive shop has arranged to have a weekend based PADI Instructor Development Course.
This consist of undergoing the Assistant Instructor phase in Houston and the Open Water Scuba Instructor phase during the weekends of 11th and 18th July at the Instructor Development Center in Nacogdoches, TX (free accommodations, 2 hours away).
If you are already an AI you can just go to the weekend OWSI sessions.
This gives people the opportunity who can't get away for the full 7-9 day course the chance to be certified to take the Instructor Examination course on 1-2 August 2009.
My wife and I are students scheduled to do this and we need two or more other individuals for this to happen.
