A group of us are here in Gloucester doing our advanced weekend, so here's the rundown.
Arrived Friday night around 930 to BEAUTIFUL weather. We're staying at the Captains Lodge - not bad for what it is.
On Saturday, we did a morning and night dive.
The morning dive was beautiful. Relatively calm water, vis in the 15-20 foot range. Air temp in the 60s, water in the high 50s. Saw small sealife, nothing crazy.
The night dive was interesting - my first. Had an absolute blast. Weather turned rainy, which didn't bother us. Air temp dropped into the 50s, water was 60 at the surface and 51 at the lowest underwater. Saw a lot more sea life. Lobster, crabs, striper, skates, and even a squid.
Sunday will involve an early morning deep dive on the Chester Pooling followed up by an unknown second dive. This will again be my first deep dive and wreck assent, and I can't wait (hense why its 0130 and I'm on here instead of sleeping!)
Sunday is courtesy of Cape Ann Divers.
I'll hopefully update some more of this on the car ride back home!
