This first one was taken a few years ago in Cozumel with my S&S MX-10.

This is from last year in Roatan. First dive with the Oly C-4040, no strobe.

Great Squid Picture Dee!

I haven't managed to capture a squid yet.

Here's one of my favorite pictures of our Giant Pacific Octopus. This one was taken at Sunrise County Park, near Gig Harbor, Puget Sound. His head is about the size of a beach ball.

Caught this octopus off Elephant Rock on Santa Catalina Island last winter... no, not MY Catalina Island hgere in southern California but the one in the Sea of Cortez!

But THIS octopus was in the real Catalina Island's Casino Dive Park. It kept trying to build a small wall of rocks to prevent me from taking its picture. I think it wanted a model release and payment first.

These are great, folks!

Boydski....I'd love to see one of your Pacific Octos one of these days. Let me know when the water warms up, OK?

Steve, we had one that size living under our bungalow this year at CCV. Too cute!

Dee,

It is warming up! The water this weekend was a toasty warm 48 degrees. That's downright tropical up here. Of course, now that the sun is out, the plankton are blooming, so the Viz is down to about 5'.

Oh well, you can't have everything.... ;-)

I have been trying to get one of those beauties out in the open and smiling for the camera for what seems like forever. All I have ended up with is photos of bits and pieces.

Timing is everything!
