How about some fresh water fish today? These are some of the perch we visit in Twin Lakes.

All taken this last summer in Lake Winnepasaukee in Wolfburo, NH.

you must have a different type of perch to us in the US as ours are green/silver with vertical stripes down them red and black i think.......haven't been fishing for years

they also have spines in their dorsal fin

Wow!! Dee, great shots!!!

Haven't done fresh water dive before (except for a pool session). How was it like?

BTW, the fish teeth in 2nd pix remind me of a Piranha!

tony...those little buggers won't wait till I get the crackers opened!

Juv once bubbled...

Juv...If you don't have any food, those teeth can feel like piranhas!

Fresh water diving is very interesting, almost as much as salt water, just different. Being an enclosed/contained body of water, there is no currents so the visibility is typically low in the 5-20ft range as a generality. Algae in the water can give it a green color! You'll learn to navigate very well and get comfortable in low viz situations. We commonly see several types of perch, catfish, turtles and crayfish.

It's not perfect but it's wet!

No freshwater fish, but some red fan coral.
