Anybody interested in a morning boat dive Wednesday or Thursday out of Scituate or Plymouth? First dive from my 20' center console. I have to be back at the ramp by noon or so.

I'd love to join you but I'll be out of town both days.

i gota work.. dang!
where where you planning on diving?

I was invited on a dive Tuesday morning and now have no air. I work a 3-11 shift and planned on hitting the dive shop on the way in but he was closed for a couple hours. (?????) He is appointment only Wednesday and I have to work again. So I dont think I can refill for Thursday.

I hadnt planned anything in particular. I know some spots around Scituate. I havnt dived out of Plymouth but I fish out of there alot and have some ideas.

When do you all generally go out?

Tuesday dive was great. Offshore vis over 25'. Sandsharks around, cod and a sculpin?on the wreck....

ive done some diving in that area on a friends boat out of duxbury.
theres a place called high pines ledge thats a decent dive. its on the chart and thers a bouy too. and you can drop anchor anywhere in that area depending on what depth ypou want.
depth can range from 40 to 70 feet depending on location and tide..
vis when i was there was about 30+
there are some wrecks too. the MARS, a old woden tug thats sitting in 120 feet of water. ive never dove this.
and theres the PINTHIS a turtled oil tanker in 100 feet of water the vis here is usually good and when i was there i had about 50+ feet even th it was a bit on the chilly side.
the PINTHIS is more off situate but not to bad of a ride from plymouth

I dove the Pinthis years ago. The vis then was awesome. Could see the wreck front to back and look up and see the boat. I dove the Mars too. That was one of the darkest coldest dives i've done. I have fished High Pines. How is the diving there? Much to look at?

Taking MelloYello out tomorrow. Maybe HArdings Ledge and Minot.

High Pines is an upwelling with lots of boulders and gravel. I don't particularly like diving there because of all the boat traffic and fishing going on there. If you do dive there, I would recommend using a reel so you can surface on your anchor line. It looked like a potentially good lobstering spot, but we were there late last season and didn't see any.
