My son and new daughter-in-law leave tomorrow for Grand Cayman. They are concerned about the weather forecast which calls for thunderstorms most of the next week.

Is there a lot of bad weather in the picture of will this be something that builds up in the late PM and is of short duration like we see in Florida during the summer?

They still have time to change destinations.

For what it is worth, when we went in April and the days before we were leaving the forecast for the week called for rain most of the week and not looking great. As it turned out, other than some isolated sprinkles and showers we had great weather. I would be more concerned about monitoring the wind and its direction. The forecasts were fairly accurate on the projected wind directions and speed. We were not able to dive the north wall due to the wind but had good diving off 7MB.
