Weather in October

I've got 3 1 /2 weeks off in October and am keen to go for a bit of diving an a bit of travelling. I've got no particular preference where to go but want to avoid bad conditions below and above water. Having been to Thailand and dived the Similan Islands I thought I'd give that a miss but wondered what things are like in Borneo/ Indonesia this time of year. Any suggestions for October globaly will be gratefully received.

PNG dived there last year and it was great. Warm sunny water flat calm and 100'+ viz

Been many times to Indonesia in October and it is a great time of the year to visit - Komodo & Bali and Manado are awesome during this period
