Coast Guard rescues 2 scuba divers in Gulf

CLEARWATER- The U.S. Coast Guard rescued two scuba divers after their boat started taking on water in the Gulf of Mexico.
Officials say about 3:50 p.m. Sunday two commercial fishing charter boats reported they were helping two men bailing water on a 16-foot boat. They asked for assistance from the Coast Guard.
The cutter Alligator arrived at the scene and launched a small boat and crew to rescue the men. The Coast Guard brought Justin Bailey and Charlie Schumaker to shore. The boat was towed to Clearwater Beach, where officials discovered a cracked hull.
