Congrats KathyV! Now you can become our St. Croix diving info specialist.

We dove St Thomas and BVI in 2016. Fun trip, chartered boat in BVI, lots to do topside as well as underwater.

We were here 11 years ago, long before Hurricane Maria in 2017. There’s been a lot of rebuilding but you can still see much damage.

Things are pretty quiet because of Covid but some places are open.

we did it!

Woo hoo!! Be sure to make an appearance in front of the Christiansted Harbor Cam on the boardwalk - located across from Hotel on the Cay where the bench seats are. I think Big Beards tours (Buck Island catamaran snorkeling trip) and other dive ops pick up there.

You have a great view from the patio - I'm envious!!

Glad you're in St. Croix over Jamaica - I've received an U.S. Embassy email security alert in each of the last 2 weeks reporting shootings in Kingston and to stay clear of certain areas (unfortunately sounds like my city right now.)

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!

We were at the Pier yesterday. Water was a little cloudy because of the rain showers we have been having but 85 deg + makes for a nice time. Only 1 Turtle spotted but there are Sea Horses (got to look hard) and the Squid are still there along the rip-rap.

Interestingly this was the first time that there were not any Glassy Eyed sweepers under the old pier section.

One of the things we noticed was the bottom 2-3 feet of the legs at the Dolphins no longer are bare a they were after Maria. Heavy growth has them looking like they were pre hurricane. :)

Have fun! Has Jamaican weather been affected by the passage of Hurricane Zeta? St Croix was lucky but they did have some windy weather on the north side, we are diving west tomorrow.

From what the locals say just some wind and rain nothing bad.

Water was great on all the dives. Low 80s 40'+ vis.

Saw a 6' nurse shark yesterday bedded down under a shelf.

So happy for you @KathyV - enjoy! and looking forward to your trip report! Who are you diving with?
If diving with Cane Bay Scuba, by chance-- tell my buddy JT that Greg Bruce says hello.

Thanks! We are diving with Saint Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventures (SCUBA)
