I did the snorkel trip last Wednesday - 8th July - with Ecocolors. There were an estimated 40 to 60 and only six boats. Our boat was filled to the maximum 10 that they carry. We swam three times each and were exhausted. I can say that each time in the water was a close encounter with 5 to 6 whale sharks - every time you turned around. We went out of Punta Sam and paid $150US each for a group of 4 by booking directly with Ecocolors. This included transportation - door to door - from Playa - 6AM pick-up and back 3/4PM. They also included a stop to snorkel at Isla Mujeres and lunch. FYI - the Isla Mujeres stop was a waste of time for divers (a couple of starfish) but the non-divers would probably enjoy it. AWSOME EXPERIENCE.
