If you are using a large camera bag such as an insulated beverage cooler for your camera gear you may want want to consider this item to take up any extra space.
These are inexpensive lightweight waterproof devices used on a small child's arms when in the water.
They come in a couple of different sizes and cost approximately $1.00 per pair at Walmart. You can inflate one or both sides of the device as needed as well as the volume of air.

(The "trendy" ocean reef design as shown below may not be available at all stores).

Neat idea, but be very, very careful if you are going to take them on an airplane. The increase in altitude even in a pressurized cabin can cause expansion that may damage your camera gear!
 
Very true jlyle. Thank you for that. I made a note on the post in "Tips & Techniques".
I should have stated they were for use on the ground, mostly on a dive boat where gear gets knocked around a lot.

I picked this thing up for five bucks at the sporting goods store. Even has a little pocket for doo-dads.
