Hello,
I am looking to buy an underwater waterproof monitor for UW videography. After some research and a friend's recommendation, I narrowed my selection to Dive & See DNC-7B (H1) 7-inch Monitor & Housing with HDMI Input. Are there any other waterproof monitors with similar specs from reputable manufactures should I consider? What is your experience?
Many thanks

Isn't Gates kind of the standard for things like that? (No, I don't have one, but my pro photog dive buddy does) UNDERWATER MONITOR HOUSINGS - Gates Underwater Products

Not really a standard but one of the high end ones. It makes "housings" for the monitors NOT the amphibious ones he is looking for here. The ones the OP mentioned and I mentioned above are monitors in their own housing without need for Gates or Nauticam or anyone else's housings, all in one box.

If you are serious about UW video you will want monitors conforming LOG signal to HDR and you will want some brightness. So your choice so far is out. Through research you find your choices narrow down to Atomos Shinobi, Ninja and SmallHD Ultra5 in Nauticam housings. I use Shinobi, works perfect either for photo OR video but not both on the same dive as you must set LOG processing before the dive and can't access settings underwater. So for me it's going to be extra $$$$ and SmallHD. Cost of learning ... Get Shinobi or Ninja and call it a day. Good luck
